ZEBRANO VENEER

Logs originate from the West Coast of Africa and are now medium size in dimension so that a single log could yield approx 2000m2 to 6000m2.

Logs are very prone to an interlocking grain and can be slow or fast growing depending on the areas where they grow. There are often resin pockets in the timber all of which makes a nice straight grain veneer very difficult to find.

This specie was used extensively by Mercedes Benz in the 1970's and 1980's and Lincoln Town cars in the 1990's for the dashboards on their cars.
